In 2022 Gearbox Central delivered manual gearboxes to many regions here in the UK and are very pleased that we have been able to help so many people, especially those who live outside of the busy cities and struggle finding manual gearboxes locally.

We have tried to make our manual gearbox delivery system easy for you and your mechanic with next day delivery because we understand your mechanic needs to free their ramp to be quickly for their next customer and you need to get back on the road!

Is all we ask for is a surcharge upfront, which is FULLY REFUNDED if we get the old manual gearbox back WITHOUT case damage and missing parts.

In 2022 Gearbox Central FULLY REFUNDED 98% of the delivery surcharges because our customers returned their old gearbox back to us without case damage or missing parts. The 2% unfortunately had cracked cases and the surcharge was not refunded upon us receiving the old gearbox.

Ford Transit 2011 6 speed... New gear box/clutchI am mechanically minded and could probably take a box out and even rebuild it....Many thanks for such a great serviceI did not know anyone who could reccomend someone so looked for somewhere within about 30mins... I read various reviews which I normally take with a pinch of salt... but Gearbox Central did seem to have some good positive reviews pointing out their honesty and professionalism...Contacted Gearbox Central, very polite and helpful providing a quote...Some weeks later got back in touch and they were able to book me in within 48hrs for a same day turn around.. I doubt I could change a box, clutch and in that time, so simply not worth my time to do it myself...!! they contacted me to say the flywheel was about 60% through it's life....Well as the labour cost would be the same as taking a box out got them to do that as well...The Van was done the same day but I missed their message to collect.Superb job, very courteous staff and an excellent job at a very good price...I would thoroughly reccomend this company, I think their service could only be improved by providing Chocolate Hobnobs and nice filtered coffee.

I called them one day when me and the wife were on holiday up north and they booked the car in for when we were going home so we spent the day in town while they were putting a new gearbox in our car they have done a great job it has a good run as me and the wife had a further 200 mil journey to complete so thumbs-up👍

Excellent company. Good communication and excellent prices. Travelled from Weymouth, Dorset to have a gearbox supplied and fitted to my Zafira. Phoned on a Monday and they booked me in for the Thursday the same week at 8 am. Set off at 4am, arrived at 8am and they started on my car immediately, got the car back at 1.30pm and back in Weymouth for 5pm...brilliant service. To source a gearbox in my local area and have it fitted I was quoted £1,200....Gearbox Central did the job for literally half the price saving me hundreds of pounds. If you're having gearbox issues but your car is still driving get to Gearbox Central, so helpful from start to finish. Thanks to Jack, Kiran and Jacinder and the rest of your team.

From first point of contact, this company was great, phoned on a Wednesday afternoon, collected and paid for my gearbox on Friday. Returned my old none working gearbox, which was checked for damage, as long as the the casing is not damaged you get your exchange money back,Great service, great people would use again. Thanks

We dropped our evoque for a new diff. On road test gearbox central haven't been able to relate problem to the diff. They haven't charged us for the work carried out and the service has been excellent. Highly recommended

Great friendly efficient service. Needed a new refurbished gearbox and new clutch for my Vauxhall vivaro van was told by another company i also needed a new dual mass flywheel and i couldn't book it in until the end of July . Was quoted a very reasonable price for fitting for all of the above. And was booked in within 5 days. Was told on collection that my van was not fitted with a DMF as told by another company and the price was reduced accordingly. Great people to deal with and the van now drives so much better and quieter and i wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

I was so happy that i found this company, Spoke to Jack, Who was very helpful, booked van in for re-con gearbox and new clutch, Gave £50 deposit, and booked some 5 days later, I waited local for the day, due to me being in Essex. they were professional and carried out work within the day. Great team of guys. Highly Recommend them and would use them again

Was let down by the main dealer and another 2 mechanics..... SO good, Kiran helped me out with the timing (They moved heaven and earth so I could get the car back when I needed it). The work was superb and the gearbox is better is better than I have ever known it (And I've had the car since new!). I would recommend.

Amazing service from the whole team from start to finish. Went in for gearbox oil service, they are so honest the new trainee got mixed up between two galaxy's and fitted a new clutch and gearbox to my car. They paid for my taxi home promising to get it back to me Monday to my home address they kept there promise and delivered car back about 9pm working over and only taking payment for gearbox oil service. Fantastic, friendly and efficient company. Son needed a new gearbox for his second hand Honda Civic (passed down to him from his grandpa having been the sole owner of the vehicle, from new, for many years). Prompt reply to email - even confirming the registration plate again to ensure the gearbox in stock was definitely compatible. Payment made via bank transfer and prompt delivery followed - on our selected date - direct to our chosen garage. Fitted the following day and the vehicle is now back on the road and running beautifully. Old gearbox was collected as promised and when checked at their end (to ensure the case was not damaged) they processed a partial refund of the original amount paid which was promptly paid direct into our bank account. Only time will tell how long the replacement gearbox will last however, would highly recommend Gearbox Central Limited. Many thanks

Extremely good customer service and great price for the work (I'd been quoted double elsewhere). I booked my Ford Mondeo in on the Friday and collected it on the following Wednesday. This was for fitting of a reconditioned PowerShift automatic transmission. I was given a complete run-down of what work had been carried out –what was reconditioned and what were new parts. Staff were polite and welcoming throughout. Work guaranteed for 6 months. I highly recommend this business!

Had recon gearbox & new clutch fitted in my Peugeot boxer motor home, no complaints with any of the work, gearbox works really nice. I can recomend these people if you have gearbox problems. Also their prices seem very fair compared to others. Would have no problem using them again.

Purchased a reconditioned Gearbox along with new Flywheel & Clutch for a dying Vauxhall Vivaro. All items were delivered rapidly at a very reasonable price to Lancashire. Received refunded payment for returning our existing gearbox (all completely arranged by Gearbox Central).Very helpful, informative and friendly service from all involved. At Gearbox Central we are happy to liaise with your mechanic should any advice be needed regarding the fitting service…we won’t hold it against you for not using our manual gearbox fitting service. We understand that you just spent a lot of your hard earned money on this gearbox from us and we just want to make sure you don’t end of with a damaged manual gearbox because of a fitting error.

We can arrange for the gearbox to be delivered straight to your mechanic’s garage and once the gearbox is drained and inserted into the box we provided just simply let us know and we will arrange collection…like we said, trying to make things easy for you!
